Website opens Fullscreen-mode maliciously and automatically
-- URL(s) where the issue occurs
A popup opened: http://www.finalupdater.com/firefox/?clickid=w4F1LUJURF40E2S915KF77QK&language=en
-- issue
I've encountered a new(?) scheme repeatedly:
1. Websites prompts for username + password via http: "Click cancel to continue!"
2. Message-popup: "You have to install a firefox update - OK / Cancel"
3. Message-popup: "Firefox has to resend form data - Resend / Cancel"
4. Firefox enters Fullscreen-mode automatically
5. Website tries to install some kind of plugin (malware?)
cycle repeats at 1. if you exit fullscreen mode
until you are able to close the page via keyboard-shortcut
- Browser/version: Firefox Quantum 57.0 (64bit) - uBlock Origin version: 1.14.18

This site wants you to install an extension that looks at least to be spyware, perhaps worse. I don't have a "sandbox" to safely test it in, so that's as far as my investigation went.
There are two commonly used styles for scam pages to trap you there, both of which include pop-up dialogs that are not considered pop-up windows and therefore not blocked by the pop-up blocker.
(1) Style #1: Repeated authentication dialog
There is a frame embedded in the page that demands a username and password. Each time you cancel it the frame reloads and displays the dialog again.
Press the Esc key several times quickly to cancel both the dialog and the reload. After that, you should be able to close the tab normally.
By close the tab normally I mean using Ctrl+w if you are prevented from using the mouse.
(2) Style #2: Repeated alert box
After you cancel the large panel, it comes back again and again.
Check along the bottom of the panel for a checkbox that instructs Firefox not to allow any more dialogs for the site, then click OK. After that, you should be able to close the tab normally. Example screenshot:

Thanks for reporting a fake update. Please see the article I found a fake Firefox update.
thank you - but the problem here is, that this webpage doesn't let you exit or click anywhere else - because it opens a fullscreen window and prevents all your mouse clicks on the close button.

Open task manager: ctrl + alt + delete, select task manager and force kill firefox.exe alternatively, press alt + f4 on your keyboard.

Give the block plugin the following line: https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/meyer-reset/2.0/reset.min.css
For me this has eliminated the problem, blocking the page.
