why is widevineCdm crashing on Amazon?
Each time I try to watch Amazon prime the widevine plugin crashes. Reloading does nothing. A re-install of firefox did nothing. The plugin is up to date and is set to always activate. This plugin, BTW, works just fine on chrome.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows {web link} Uninstall Flash Player | Mac {web link}
Then reinstall the latest version.
Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
Flash Player Version 32.0.0.101

Fred Thank you for your help with the flashplayer. I followed your steps and now have only the one version. Lloyd
Good to hear. Is the problem still there?
Yes, indeed. On Amazon Prime I click on a movie and the widevine crashes prior to hitting play. For some reason, beginning yesterday, after months of no problem this appears. I've made no changes to the computer or Firefox settings. Pretty much I don't have a clue. The Widevine works fine on Chrome so it seems the problem comes back to Firefox. Appreciate any thoughts you have. Lloyd
Of some interest, perhaps. I just came up on Amazon on a different cpu with an old version of firefox and it worked just fine...
