Cannot delete certain downloads from list

I have four downloads 'stuck' in my downloads list: they cannot be deleted from the list. Is the a plist or other item I could delete from my Macintosh to clear these irritating items?

This is more complicated than I thought. I just refreshed Firefox and have persistent problems. My history is completely empty, although it is populated on other computers I share sync with. Clear Downloads cleared most but not all of the persistent files (1 zip file remains). And I cannot drag bookmarks to my bookmark folder.
