Can you please tell me what known issue this is?

Do you have a Firefox crash or your whole computer crashing? You said it crashes when you click icons on the desktop? That means this isn't a Firefox problem.

it will crash my whole computer and it restarts. when it comes back up , it will go back to the same websites i was on when it crashed. sometimes it will crash when double clicking a icon on my desktop to a site like amazon or ebay or my email or other sites. I did some research and it seems to be a DoS bug. whatever that is something that it floods some kind of communication through and it will crash. I have the latest version of firefox and all drivers and window 10 is up to date. I also did a malewarebytes scan and it came back clean.

this is random. does not happen all the time. maybe once or twice a day. But very annoying.

No, that's not a DoS. A DoS is a "Denial of Service", and is when someone attacks a web server with many requests. That isn't what you have.

If your computer is crashing, this is likely an issue with your computer itself.

Hi butchbarber, we need some leads here. Do you get an instant system reboot or is there a blue screen or any other intermediary screen with information about the cause of the crash? You might also check the Windows Event Viewer to see whether Windows has logged any information about why it had to restart.

Also, I suggest disabling any extensions that communicate with external programs while you are debugging this. The most common ones like that involve working with files or other programs on your system, such as "open with" extensions to launch links or files in other programs, and some video downloaders that install a converter and need to feed pieces of files to it.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

• Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
• "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
• type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

Any improvement in stability?

No blue screen or notification. it will just restart. I only have 1 extension and it is "honey" which i use for amazon pricing and have had for about a year and this started about a month ago. I have only one plug in and that is shockwave. what should i be looking for in the event viewer? it crashed this morning not sure what time.

I got this under a red exclamation point about the time it crashed. Is it ok to post the information?

Hi butchbarber, I'm not sure whether you meant to provide a screenshot or a paste with more details? Usually the event viewer would have a sizable block of info for a crash.

I have a kernel 41 event error. which is a power related issue. What i can not understand is that i played the call of duty modern warfare beta for like 12 hours straight without no shut downs, restarts or crashes. I should also mention that my computer acts like a would restart it when it crashes or shuts down. it just restarts. The only time this happens is when I am on my desktop or a website and my have a few sites open at a time. I will go and click or double click on the desktop to open a page or click on something on a web page and then it will shutdown and restart. Not all the time it is random. Do not understand game on my PC for 12 hours straight no problem, search and open website and it shuts down.

I also just ran CC cleaner on PC and registry . Fixed all the registry errors. See if this will work. I am 99.9% sure it is not a power problem.
