VCRRUNTIME140_1.dll

more options

I got new computer and keep getting an error message that says, "The code execution cannot proceed because VCRRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have reinstalled multiple times and keep getting the same message. Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about that. You can reinstall the VC Runtime files from Microsoft's page here:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0

In the first section, titled "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019", you can find the latest versions. I installed both the 32-bit and the 64-bit, but I don't know if the 32-bit was really necessary. After the required reboot of Windows, Firefox was back to normal.
