Relaying errors from the server indicate your trying to send mail without a password. That is your server requires authentication and you are not supplying it.

Thunderbird stores passwords in a password manager, not as plain text in the registry as some other mail client do. So when you set up your account you enter your user name. When you send mail your asked for the password that goes with that outgoing server and select for it to be stored in the password manager if you want Thunderbird to remember your password.

If your trying to send mail then it is going to tell you that you can not do that. You should be using Google SMTP server not the other one and expecting it to relay for the other account. I would assume the other servers will only accept outgoing mail for them addresses.

(For outlook.(‘exange.’) To resolve this issue, the sender or associated administrator should contact the recipient or the recipient's anti-spam solution provider for additional analysis. In this situation, an anti-spam solution provider will usually update their signatures or provide a detailed explanation of why the email is being blocked.)

What port numbers are you using. Can I ask?

It cannot be a set up problem as I've been using Thunderbird without a problem for over a year. Two days ago my ISP went down for about 8 hours. Since it has returned I've had this problem.

Your code explains that there is something wrong with that s in your email. A not excepting issue.

Can you explain it to your provider? Some mails are unwanted by your reciever. Blocked it somehow. You re sending unwanted mails. Contact your provider for a solution. From both sides. You as user they are your provider connection. Ask if your on a list for unwanted mail traffic.

There are Mxtools online on google. To check if you are on the blacklists.

Thank you. The problem went away on its own. Returned for a day then went away again. Very odd.

This started happening about 2 weeks ago. In my case I am sending e-mails to a distribution list. I receive a kickback, mentioning an address that is not on the list. I've learned that it is an address of someone who changed his address four years ago. I have searched my settings for signs that there might be a default address buried somewhere in the compose settings , or a problem with address book. No luck.
