Empty Address Book
Hi,
after some problems with update, Thunderbird has no address in address book. I add a file abook.mab to other machine, export addresses to csv and try to import to problematic instalation. Unfortunetely, I cannot import it or add any address. When I do it, nothing happenes. After import csv there is a new private address book, but it's empty. Also there is no manually added address. How can I fix it?

I am a big concerned here. the current version of Thunderbird no longer uses MAB files.
So what was the update problems that lost the address book. Perhaps that is the place to start.
In mab file there is no all contacts. Is it posiible to import rest of them? Witch file id used now for contacts?
Is it possible to convert abook.sqlite to vcf? Because abook.sqlite is readable by sqlite editor and there are all addresses.
Try renaming abook.sqlite to abook.sqlite.bak, with TB closed. When TB restarts, a new, empty, abook.sqlite is created, with the corresponding empty Personal Address Book. Import the csv, and then drag the contacts from the imported address book and drop them on the Personal Address Book icon.
Sfhowes - I have the same problem. Can you give more details about "Import the csv" please - my PC has hundreds of csv files on it.

Importing a csv is usually easier if it's first edited in a spreadsheet to make it conform to the TB format:
