When i try to log in from my iPhone it asks for a 6 digit code emailed to me at xxxx@xxx.com. but I never get the email because Firefox is adding a period at the end of the address making invalid. I logged in from my desktop and can find no address with a period at the end. I have DUO also but Firefox and DUO don't seem to see each other.

Hi Bruce,

I want to try and make sure I understand the issue you noted.

  • You are trying to log into your Firefox account on your iPhone within the Firefox for iOS app, correct?
  • You then get prompted for a 6 digit code which is supposed to be sent to your Firefox Account email address on file, correct?
  • Can you clarify how you know it is adding a period at the end of the email? I am wondering if you are seeing a prompt that notes the code being sent to your email and that prompt is showing a period at the end?
  • Lastly, have you successfully signed in on the Firefox for IOS app at any time previously?

Correct on number 1. Trying to update or sync passwords. I finally found an authentication app that works, Authy. I was about to give up. I don't know about the period being just added to the end or part of the address. I was just guessing because every time it said an email was sent to my address I received nothing. What started it all was my Lockwise shows to be syncing but is not. I finally uninstalled and re-installed and it updated and added all addresses and passwords. I can't remember ever trying to login from my phone.

So, at this time, you are able to successfully get logged into your account on Firefox for IOS?

I am happy to hear Authy worked for you. Though I am curious why the DUO app did not. I use that currently and it works fine for me between desktop and mobile.

Regarding Lockwise, I know that Firefox has been working to update functionality within desktop and mobile to match what was included in Lockwise. So It may be worth using the built in functionality for password management now instead of lockwise down the road.
