After typing in search, return doesn't enter the page
I type something in Firefox, say "mice". A Google search string appears in the address bar, but it is greyed out, and nothing else happens. I have to go to that bar and hit Return to get to the search results. After this has happened once, everything appears to work as expected until I close the browser. On reopening, the problem has returned.

Do either of you use Avast anti-virus?
When this happens, can you please take a look at the Browser Console and see if there are any errors/warnings and post them here?
You can access the Browser Console via the three-bar menu -> More Tools -> Browser Console.
I do not use Avast. The problem is intermittent, but has just happened again trying to get to TripAdvisor. The Browser Console has this:
