I have an application with a link to launch outlook. Client has upgraded to windows 7 and the link no longer works and produces a protocol error of some sort.

Using "Outlook" as a protocol is no longer support, not even in Internet Explorer (under Windows 7), as far as I know. Thanks for asking.
