Firefox wont start, only when shutting down it starts

I klicked fire fox and it would not open! No madder what, I tryed safe mode-didn't work As soon as I click start\Turn off computer\Turn off As my pc is shutting down, firefox finaly opens- too late for me to do enything... This happens every time!! I found a way to open it: unplug the internet connection, but that is easear said then done! HELP ME PLAESE!!!!!!!!! Thanks in advance
