Had a problem with hijacked browsers. Got it cleaned, Firefox will not open or un install. I want to remove existing and install a "clean" one.

Browsers were hijacked, found and quaranteened(sp?) the bugs, Mozilla will not open from the desktop, Programs. Tried to un-install either one-no joy. Want to use Firefox again, thought I could uninstall and reinstall "Clean" versions. If nothing else, since I can't use Mozilla, want to remove them permanently.
