Ever since upgrading to the latest version of Firefox, I find the plugin container exe uses lots of CPU which results in the cooling fan to run all the time. When I use IE to visit the same sites, I don't have this problem.

You can check your plug-in's update status on this link: https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/

If one or more of your plugins are outdated, it may cause a problem.

But it is just my opinion, not a professional advice.
