firefox no longer shows my account(s) only prompts me to set up new account? did I lose everything?

all of a sudden, when i open thunderbird it prompts me to setup a new account and all my account info and emails are all gone. address book is there, but no emails or account info. all links are grey except, write, chat and address book.

my info is still on my laptop and phone but they werent synced and I need to restore all my history and sent and archived emails.

tried system restore twice and no change
