won't open email get not responding message then eventually the email will open; why has this been occurring in the past 2-3 days?
In the past 2-3 days when I try to open an email or delete an email I get "not responding" then after 30seconds or so the "Not responding " goes away and then I can open the email or delete it. Why is this happening now and how do I correct this? It's very annoying to have to wait to read or delete an email. I compact the file whenever the message comes up on my screen.

What is your anti-virus software?
McAfee Antivirus Plus, which I have had for 3 years. This email issue just popped up over the past 2-3 days.

I unchecked email attachments under real time scanning and it appears to have worked for the moment.
