Crash ID: bp-bac4a680-1d6d-4a29-9c90-6f0d92150706

I'm not sure why this is happening! I have had firefox forever and a day and only the past 24 hours , I have crashed 5 times! It has not ever happened before the past 24 hours at least to my knowledge. I have update everything from A-Z in the list below Update your software

Update Firefox
Update your plugins
Update Windows
Update your drivers
Update your Internet Security software

Check for viruses or spyware Check to see if the crash happens in safe mode The crash still happens in Safe Mode

Check your hardware

Check your RAM for errors

Would someone be so kind to please tell me what to do next? Thank you for your time in advance!

I looked at your crash report and your system details. I see 3 things:

1. Your Firefox updated about 12-24 hours ago to 39.0 and that's when you started having crashes (am I right?)

2. The crash is caused by an Out-Of-Memory error. This means Firefox is using too much RAM. This usually happens when you open too many tabs. But it can also be caused by a faulty add-on, driver, or a specific website.

3. Your graphics driver should be updated: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Thanks Kenton for helping me so soon! I appreciate all your help

My graphics driver was updated with AMD Catalyst which recommended me to download 13-9 legacy vista win7 64 bit dd cc since I have ATI Radeon HD3450

As far as tabs being opened I have had the crash happen with only one tab open

You stated: 1. Your Firefox updated about 12-24 hours ago to 39.0 and that's when you started having crashes (am I right?) Yes sir you are correct, i have never ever ever had any problems with mozilla firefox and have had it since well forever and a day and rave about firefox to everyone and now this happened and threw me for a loop

My computer states that I have 7.00 GB installed memory My processor is IntelCore 2quad CPU q6600 2.40ghz

Should I diagnose my computer memory problems? I have reinstalled mozilla Firefox and still experiencing the crash but only when i visit this one site (facebook) other sites work fine as if there were never any problems Example: gmail works great, allrecipes works great, weather channel works great hulu works great and all my gaming sites work great even my installed games work great just FB crashes

I have lavasoft adaware as my antivirus/malware

Would you recommend me doing something else? Could the update (mozilla) have a bug? Should I wipe everything clean to original mfg date? System restore?

Thanks again Kenkon so much for your time patience and understanding!

DO NOT do a System Restore. It's a last resort measure and could mess things further.

Yes, you can use the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check your RAM. There's probably nothing wrong with it though.

Did you experience the Facebook-related crash in Firefox Safe Mode too? This is an important diagnosis step. It will tell us if the crash is caused by an extension, a theme or hardware acceleration.

You could try Windows Safe Mode too, which isn't the same thing as Firefox Safe Mode. This might tell us if the crash is caused by a driver. When you reboot, you should select the Windows Safe Mode *With Networking* option to be able to access the Internet.

Also, please disable the Flash plugin in Firefox Add-ons Manager and tell me if Firefox still crashes.

Thanks Again for your time and patience Kenkon, I just got your message 7-9-2015 at 5:45 eastern time and will do as you ask for windows safe mode and also firefox safe mode the flash plug in is adobe which I extremely dislike however it seems to be the only flash plug in available so yes I will disable it, for how long ?, just until I reboot in safe mode or indefinitely? Thanks again and will get back to you after I cook dinner and go into safe mode on both! If I don't get back to you tonight have a great night! Thanks for all your help kindness and patience!

Sorry, I did not explain well. Do each troubleshooting step individually, not altogether at the same time. So we can determine which is the cause of the crash.

Use Firefox in Windows Safe Mode for a while. Use Facebook. See if it crashes. If it crashes, drivers are not the cause.

Next, reboot Windows normally. Start Firefox in Firefox Safe Mode and use it for a while. Again, see if it crashes. If it crashes, extensions are not the cause.

Finally, disable Flash and restart Firefox normally. Use it some more, see if it crashes. If it crashes, Flash is not the cause.

Hi, the latest version of Shockwave Flash is 18.0.0.203. You can check it by pressing Ctrl + Shift + A, then Plugins. If it isn't up to date, click on 'Check to see if your plugins are up to date.' If it is up to date, or after you have updated, you will need to restart Firefox to stop the out of date pop-ups from appearing.
