Thunderbird continually gets Unresponsive Script up on opening (win10). Resolved by clearing 350 in trash and 150 in sent. CAUSE: unknown

Thunderbird hangs up on opening and I will get a "stop script" message: Script: chrome://messenger/content/toolbarlconColor.js:48. After clicking "close script" once or twice everything works normally until the next time I try to open TB, then the same thing happens. I have tried opening Windows 10 in "safe mode" and then opening TB in "safe mode" per other instructions. No help. Any mor suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Wayne, I tried several things and then, on reading other posts, I deleted nearly all of my trash and sent emails. It appears to have solved the problem. Thanks for your help,

You are welcome.

Roughly how many emails were in Trash? And how many in Sent?

There were about 350 in trash and 150 in sent. May have been something in one of them. Another thing I did was get rid of all add-ons. I am sure this helped also. Didn't need them anyway. Thanks again.
