How can I change Bookmark and Bookmark Folder icons in the Bookmark Manager, dialogue box and Sidebar?
Using Stylish I’ve changed the Bookmark and Bookmark Folder icons in the Firefox toolbar and menu (with base64 coded images), but this doesn’t change the icons in other places:
- the Bookmark Manager - the Bookmark dialogue box - the Bookmark Sidebar
They still use the standard icons. What CSS should I use to change them too?

In the sidebar and in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) you deal with tree list items and there is no way to style individual items via CSS. The only way would be to set this icon as the default for this URL (bookmark) item. I'm not sure what dialog you mean with "Bookmark dialogue box", but I assume that you can't change the icon there as well via CSS.

There is a forum for Stylish users over here: https://forum.userstyles.org/

Oh, well. So that explains why I couldn’t find any user styles which change these icons too…
Thanks anyway.
Thanks cor-el! The link doesn't seem to work though... giving a 'Not Found' page...
Does this link work in case you use a different locale?
Thanks, that link works.
This will take a while to look into, but it looks like I’m halfway there: I succeeded in addressing the folder icons in the Library (see 2 in the attached image), but this changes the bookmark globe icons as well and also puts icons in the location column (see 3 and 4 in the image). So I will dig a little further to correct this, if possible.
Thanks again, for pointing in the right direction. As soon as I have more results (or not…?) I will get back to this thread.
Halfway there… yeah, right. I’m going to give up on this one.
You are totally right, cor-el: this can’t be done in css… it’s a bit out ouf my league too. Still, I picked up a thing or two while under way.
Thanks.
