any difference between Mozilla download and Filehippo one?
After 10 years or more as Firefox as my only or main browser,I´ve just had 3 weeks of constant crashes before it even opened. The only solution, which lasted till the next reboot etc,was to keep downloading the latest Mozilla set up until this weekend when it got to "finish-open Firefox" at the end of the installation process. I deleted the whole thing with an uninstaller and cleared the registry with CCleaner and downloaded it new, even downloaded the 55.0 Beta version.....crashed before starting. Today I downloaded it from the Mozilla website-perfect. So,hence my question; is there a difference between what Filehippo offers? Bearing in mind it´s been for since 2006. Thanks PS-the educated guess is wrong-54.01 not 54

Support forum volunteers don't know what files are uploaded onto FileHippo or other unofficial sites. I don't think it's anyone's job at Mozilla to check such things, unless it is reported to the legal department as a license/policy violation. The files could be the same or they could be different.
thanks for replying quickly but it´s pretty irrelevant ;-) I´ve been using Filehippo over the past decade for 80% of my software downloads and this recent problem may or may not have been related to that. In addition, apart from Filehippo being one of many/several sites to download programs,I´m really wondering,as I asked,is it not the same software one downloads? Let´s see who else responds

There are hundreds (thousands?) of Firefox installers built every year across major and minor updates, different operating systems, and different languages. If you want to compare some files, go ahead and download both and compare them. Who else is going to take the time to verify that for you?
