Since I've upgraded to macOS 10.13.1 High Sierra from Sierra (10.12.x) I've noticed that Thunderbird will lag often with the beachball. This is more pronounced when selecting typed text in a new composed email window, using command+arrow key for full line or option+arrow key for single word.

Also seems to occur when closing windows/tabs as well. The delay occurs then I'm prompted to save email (if composing).
