When I installed the latest version of Firefox, 65.0.2 on my iMac, the Firefox Volume icon appeared on the Desktop. This is not how it was before 65.0.2. Is that icon necessary on the desktop?

Are you sure it belongs to Firefox? Have you checked the computer's built-in program?
