Hi! I have a few filters to tag messages and they work like a charm when my PC is awake. The problem comes when the PC is sleeping and I'm using a mail client on another device - if an email is read or sent (for example form my Mac mail or Android mail app), when I wake up my PC Thunderbird never applies the filters. The filters are set to run "Periodically, every 10 minutes" along with all the other options (i.e. all the checkboxes in "Apply filter when" are checked). If I run them manually after that, they tag the messages correctly. Is it a bug or I do something wrong? I just want every message to be tagged depending on some rules.

For TB to run filters in a timely fashion, it must be 'awake' - if it's sleeping and wakes up after messages come through, the timing is out of sync, so the filter fails.

Thanks, david! So... is there any way to automatically tag messages that come when the PC is shut down/sleeping once it's back online?

I am not aware of such that runs within TB. After all, the PC is asleep. Some ISPs have filtering capabilities and that might be your best option. However, what you're doing now is working.
