Hello I'm referencing the topic where TLS 1.0 and 1.1 support was removed but rolled back to accommodate some government agencies / sites and support for COVID-19 data

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1290040#:~:text=Mozilla%20and%20other%20browser%20makers,and%20performance%20of%20Internet%20connections.

Quoted answer "Right, support for TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 has been removed few months ago, but we reverted the change for an undetermined amount of time to better enable access to critical government sites sharing COVID19 information."

Since it was referenced as "undermined amount of time", is there anything currently on your roadmap/release schedule in regards to removing support again? I have some cutover decisions I need to make and knowing if ESR for example will remove this support in 2 months may effect the direction of those. If you have anything to share, i'd really appreciate it.

Regards,

-Chad

At this moment, the option to enable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 has been removed from the error page in Firefox version 97. See bug 1745678. So it'll reach the next major ESR release (102, I guess - June 2022)

Thanks so much for the replies. So if 102 has this change, would I see this in the 101 nightly builds? (says 101.x version) so that may mean it would be in the 05/31/2022 release? The nightly builds version doesn't allow TLS < 1.2

This shows 101 release of 5/31/2022 as 102 shows 06/28/2022 https://wiki.mozilla.org/Release_Management/Calendar

Unable to upload pic but the version of NIGHTLY for me is 101.0a1

Hello, I see this behavior in the nightly version "101.0a1 (2022-04-15) (64-bit)".... Does this mean it will be in the 101 release for 5/31/2022 and not the 102 release for 6/28/2022?

In the normal update channel it should already be released in version 97. In ESR there won't be version 97 nor 101, so it will be in 102.

Thank you for the clarification. Cheers!
