Recently I will have a bar at the top of my browser pop up, about every 2-3 minutes, stating that, "You must login to this network before you can access the internet". Of course, I am already connected to the internet and web surfing like normal. It's extremely annoying, momentarily resizes the window which I am browsing on and has no way (at least that I am aware of) to stop it.

Whatever this new feature is I would like it to stop. I did some reading, the article indicating disabling this feature can cause security issues, however there has to be someway that this doesn't constantly popup and annoy me to death. Looking for any explanation/information on how to prevent the constant annoyance of this bar popping up.

Hi and thanks for sharing.

I had looked at these articles but I guess I'm dumb here. Maybe I am lacking context? But as I was reading these articles I also see where it's stating that disabling these features can be bad for security.

Are these new features or have they been around for a while but typically passive in the background?

If I go through with these steps, what am I exposing myself to? I don't think these articles do a great job of laying that out (apologies, not trying to be insulting).
