I have several websites I cannot sign into on FF but I can on Edge

Hello everyone. I do not know if any else has experienced this but I have several websites that I cannot sign in to. I have no problem reaching the sites but when it comes to signing in I either get a message that my sign in information is not correct and this happens on Bestbuy.com or I get this message on Chewy.com Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://www.chewy.com/app/login" on this server. Reference #18.88dcda17.1684871617.2bce7d64 . Now if I use the awful MS Edge I have no problem signing in to either one. I have racked my brain to figure this out even disabling each addon which I only have a few. I have ran scans for Malware with Norton 360, Malwarebytes and MSERT and nothing there. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this in some way or maybe change a setting in Firefox that I am overlooking. I can access these sites fine and move around in them but like I said I cannot sign in into them. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Respectfully, DT

"You don't have permission to access..." errors are characteristic of a firewall that protects the server against misuse and this firewall thinks something is suspicious about the HTTP request. If you use a proxy or VPN then try to use a direct connection. Select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

  • Settings -> General -> Network -> Connection -> Settings

You can try to clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the padlock button or via "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings) to see if that fixes it.

I've seen cases where having enabled Resist Fingerprinting was causing this issue.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if an extension is causing the problem.

If this all doesn't work then you can try "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history item. Note that this removes saved passwords for this website as well.

You need to post a screenshot of the issue not copy and paste the error message as other reading won't know how or when this happens.

Really? I posted a screenshot above from Chewy.com but it seems you over looked it but I will post another and I cannot post a screen shot from Best.Buy as it will reject my sign on and password attempt and I will have to change my password again. I have said how it happens above and it will happen anytime of the day or night. There is something clearly in Firefox that these sign in screens do not like and refuses to let me sign in where as what ever it is does not show up in MS Edge and it lets me sign in. What I would like to know is what should I check or enable or disable in Firefox to solve this problem. Maybe you should consult with a support moderator who is more knowledgeable about this.

Thank you so much Cor-el for your detailed information as always. This is just what I was looking for to try.
