I live in Germany and every time I go to an English page it is translated to German and then back again to bad English! How can I prevent this and see pages in their original languages and then have the CHOICE to translate?

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

That is not a built-in feature of Firefox. I see you have the Google Toolbar, and that has a translation feature. Click on the spanner icon in the Google toolbar to change the translation preferences.
