3.6.10 hangs randomly and when selecting tools:options
Ever since loading 3.6.10 I've had problems with ff hanging and generally behaving badly. I can't be specific about when it hangs except that it always hangs when you select tool:options If there are no answers to my problem, can someone tell me how to get back to a more stable, earlier version of FF. thanks

This issue can be caused by an extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions).
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window in case there is a problem with the file that stores the preferences (prefs.js in the Firefox Profile Folder)
Cor-el, still hangs in safe mode
I think I need to revert to an earlier version. 3.6.10 is hopeless on my machine...it hangs more and more often. Does anyone have instructions for going to an earlier (better) version? thanks j0na
same problem i encountered also... but just a while ago i installed back my old rambooster program, and all is well..for now maybe.. it's worth a try.. i'll post a reply again if it fails though...

It appears that you have the same problem as me! :( I can not use Firefox version 3.6.4 - 3.6.10. I had to switch to another browser, firefox does not work anymore for me.

Check to see if you have an old version of TortoiseCSV: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=575787. If so, uninstall or update it and your FF will stop hanging when selecting Tools --> Options.
