I'm also having this issue. Running Windows Vista x64 bit.
Use google chrome to play this game until they work out the bugs. I had the exact same problem as well.
Yes, having this problem since upgraded to Firefox 4. =( Have to resort to using Chrome now. May this bug be worked out quick before I decide on a permanent switch.
Mee too! It seems related to Firefox 4. Generally the other videos seem faster, only this game is slower. My wife is going crazy!!! So do I... :(
It's OK now, after updating to Firefox 4.0.1
Most of my games on facebook run very slow now that I upgraded to firefox 4 they were great with the old firefox
I have same problem with Zuma since I upgraded Firefox. Google Chrome works fine for this game. Are you listening Firefox and are you going to fix the problem? This is very annoying!
I agree with everyone this is extremely annoying. I tried to uninstall with system restore and then NOTHING worked.SO I had to reinstall the new firefox 4. PLEASE Mozilla Firefox fix this problem. I am having to use internet explorer and don't like it.Firefox is faster on all the other websites.
I have Firefox 4.0.1 and the problem persists. I tried Facebook via IE, and Zuma Blitz worked normally long enough to take the lead, but then almost identical lag time problems started with it. Can't get Chrome to work period, although it's there and interferes with other things on the computer, such as stand-alone Zuma games.
Yes, I have problems with playing Zuma and Bejeweled on Facebook since I upgraded my Firefox browser to 4.0.1. I have had to play the games on Internet Explorer and there they work fine. Please hurry up with a fix for this problem.

Did you try clearing your cache?there could be a possibility that the cache might have got filled and that is why there is no room for the extra cookies/data to come in.
Clear the cache
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options Select the Advanced panel. Click on the Network tab. In the Offline Storage section, click Clear Now.
dont think its a firefox issue,i'm having same issue on 4 different browsers..safari,chrome,which also crashes nonstop lately, firefox and explorer..i think its facebook...i dont know..i do know it sucks..been trying to get moms comp working better but nothing helps..hers is an xp,and ff4 was crap so i went back,on my windows 7 ff4 is the best ff has ever been, but still have occasional facebook game issues..
I've been having this problem for a couple months. I'm running windows 7 and always update when needed, including Flash. I've tried playing on different browsers and have some hesitation with all of them, but Firefox is the absolute worst! It's impossible to play ZB in Firefox. I've tried clearing the cache, making sure my computer is running efficiently, rebooting it, upgraded my wireless router, even tried plugging directly into my modem to get the fastest possible speed.
It's a shame, as I'm an addict of this game. But hard to get good scores when you are essentially playing "blind".
This is because of the plugin-container.exe. if you switch dom.ipc.plugins.enabled to false in about:config plugin-container and the problem will dissapear

I also had this issue on Firefox 6.0 / Ubuntu 10.04. The last Firex version, where Zuma Blitz was playable, was 3.6.
Needo's solution solved my problem.

I have the same problem (Windows Vista x64 bit) and none of this seems to help.
Google Chrome seemed initially faster and took longer to lag, but eventually it did. I also tried Needo's solution, with basically the same results as the switch to Google Chrome, with the exception that it now takes forever for the game score to load and to start a new game. I tried clearing the cache with no luck there either.
This is obviously some sort of intermittent problem (either with my machine or with FB) because I have multiple million+ scores. But this week it has been lagging like crazy and my 70-year-old mother-in-law is beating me for Pete's sake...
I have updated to Firefox 9.01 and am having this hesitation issue on every action, not just on my favorite games like Slingo, but everything. I have deleted cookies, cleared the cache, defragged, and run multiple adware and virus scans with nothing changes the Firefox lags. Due to my frustration I have installed Opera and do not have the hesitation issues with this browser.
