firefox 6.0.2 is forgetting signed in site information
For years I have used Firefox to save sign in information. However, since the latest update, on both my PC and Mac, the websites are constantly signing out and have to be signed back in. This is most tiresome. None of my settings have otherwise changed in any way. I always tell firefox to remember passwords but come the next day, they have always been forgotten again. It is very frustrating

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.
- Create an allow cookie exception (Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
- In Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode Firefox won't fill names and passwords automatically.
- Do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
