I have this problem too and just got this most complete reply from a top contributor to Firefox. Hope this helps.
I assume the warning is from the Plugin Checker site? https://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/
The problem is that the site has been updated to reflect the release of Java 8, and therefore the site considers Java SE 7 to be old now. (The way the site is designed, it does not track multiple "current" releases.) But Oracle is not offering Java SE 8 on java.com; if you wanted it, you would need to go to oracle.com to get it.
For now, I suggest tolerating the message from the Plugin Checker site that you have an old version of Java SE, and relying on the Java updater to keep it current within the Java SE 7 series. At some point, Oracle will feel comfortable moving Java SE 8 to java.com and everything will line up again.
Related thread: Firefox 28.0 is indicating that my installed Java SE 7 U51 is vulnerable (2014 03 20).
Regarding the Deployment plugin, I think it has a different kind of problem, maybe there is an unfixed bug even in the latest version. I haven't researched it, but not very many sites use it.

That's a Bug with the Plugin Check web page.
Bug 985968 - Mozilla Plugin check page displays Java plugin as vulnerable even if the latest version is installed. Reported: 2014-03-20 07:40 PDT
