I have two computers. On the PC Thunderbird is connecting. On the Mac it isn't.
I have never had any issue with the Mac connecting before. I reinstalled Thunderbird and still it isn't connecting. Its just hanging, trying to connect.

the security certificate from Riseup is not valid. Could it be one device is using SSL and the other is not?
Unfortunately due to a security vulnerability disclosed on the internet today ( http://heartbleed.com/ ) , we had to update our certificates. Check out our new certificate fingerprints ( https://help.riseup.net/en/security/network-security/certificates/riseup-signed-certificate-fingerprints.txt ) and learn how to verify them. This may be related. Its very technical, and I am not a tech dunce. I simply don't know. I have Thunderbird, Firefox, on both machines. The Mac version of Thunderbird can't access the mail. It is online. I can get it on my PC version of Thunderbird too.
I need a unique serial number, it seems, for each machine. I have emailed RiseUp also.
