Get Messages doesn't work anymore. I created another profile with the same email address and it works fine. The issue is that I lost all my info, addresses, and most importantly the Calendar. I've been messing around with this all in trying to import that info into the new profile, but failing. I copied calendar-data to the new profile, but it doesn't show up. Can someone please help! Dear Team After Updating from 102.15.1 (32Bit) to 115.28.0 (32Bit) I can not connect to the provider "pop.hispeed.ch" anymore. Ping pop.hispeed.ch (on CMD) shows normal raction of beeing reachable with a "reply from xxxx.". I am on Windows 7 SP1. I have checked several times all setting POP and SMTP, switched off Firewall, uninstalled virus scanner, and and and many more (all knowledge found on internet..). Pressing the "Get Message" button in the upper menue bar shows no raction when pressed. The icon "Get Message" on the left side of the button "+ New Message" results in a none moving blue status bar at the right bottom of the window. After a while with the message "timed out.. ".In the settings "Config Editor.." the values of "mailnews.tcptimeout" are set to "300", and "true". I am using TB since donkey years with many many eMails. Are the lost? Hi For the past week to ten days I can no longer send email from Thunderbird. I get this error message: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. I haven't changed any settings and don't connect via VPN.

Damage of all cyrillic symbols in subfolders' (not folders'!) names occurs after update from the latest minor version 128.x.x to 136.0.

The names of subfolders in Russian (marked in a large red rectangle) are damaged now. However, their names in the upper right zone (marked in a small red rectangle) near message count are shown correctly in Cyrillic (Russian)...

Notes: 1 - Subfolder names are broken (see the 1st screenshot). 2 - Folder names are good (see the 2nd screenshot). 3 - Some zones are faded by me in case of privacy.

How to fix it?

I am receiving legitimate invoices from about 6 different suppliers. On my email inbox they are all listed as coming from the same person (who is one of the 6 suppliers I have used.) The only common thing I can see is that they all appears to be using the same accounting software. Is there a setting somewhere - perhaps I have ticked a box accidentally - that causes this to happen? How can I change it so that the legitimate sender is named on the inbox list?

I hope you are all well. When an email is forwarded in Mozilla Thunderbird, the email body displays a very technical header with a lot of information. This is something that the average user, especially those used to Outlook, doesn't like. It's not very practical if they have to print the email or create a PDF. How can this be configured so that this reference to this very long and technical header doesn't appear in the email forwarding message?

Espero que esten bien, cuando un mail en Mozilla Thunderbird se reenvia , en el cuerpo del mail pone un encabezado muy tecnico con mucha informacion, el cual al usuario comun, mas el que esta acostumbrado a outlook no le gusta, y si tiene que imprimir el mail o crear u pdf no queda muy practico; como se puede configurar para que no salga esa referencia a este encabezado muy largo y tecnico en el mensaje de un reenvio de mail ?

I hope you are well. I've been looking for messaging management tools for large volumes and the many email accounts we can configure in Mozilla Thunderbird for a while. I haven't found any AI (Artificial Intelligence) projects on this subject. Does anyone know of any AI applied to Mozilla Thunderbird? If so, which one(s)? And what was your experience like? I wonder if you recommend them or if they're not yet fully developed.

For some time now, the latest versions of Mozilla Thunderbird have been consuming a lot of RAM. On older computers, it even feels like they're taking up a lot of RAM. Can I downgrade from a beta version to a regular version of Mozilla Thunderbird?

Like this TB community, I'm asking if anyone knows or has experienced something like this. I'm assuming you first downloaded a beta version of Mozilla Thunderbird, and it worked and was configured, and you want to downgrade to a regular version of Mozilla Thunderbird without losing your messages and settings. This is a request for developers.

When replying to an email and including the incoming email in the reply - The only options given by Thunderbird are colorful vertical lines |, or just the text.

I'm used to and would like to have the option to use the > which I've seen in other apps. (I had used it for years in old software.)

My opinion is that the > is neater and easier to navigate then the vertical lines. And I don't like the color of the |. It gets very distracting.

I hope this request can be seen by developers. Thanks.

Hello, I recently updated Thunderbird to version 136 on my Linux system (Solus with Budgie desktop), and I noticed that a native tray icon now appears in my system tray. This was not the case with previous versions, where Thunderbird would run without placing an icon in the tray. The issue is that Thunderbird now shows an icon in the system tray, and I would like to disable it. I have already tried the following methods:

1. Editing the prefs.js file to set: `user_pref("mail.ui.showTrayIcon", false);` But this did not remove the icon.

2. Checking Thunderbird's settings for any option to disable the tray icon, but I could not find anything that addresses this behavior.

3. I have also checked the system tray settings in the Budgie desktop, but the icon still persists.

Is there any way to completely remove this tray icon in version 136? Is this a known issue with this release?

Any help would be appreciated!

This is not a question. It is a statement of issues. I recently bought a new computer and tried to install Thunderbird on my new system. The installation went fine. The setup was one problem after another. Thunderbird required multiple attempts to connect with Outlook and sync my account. Next, I tried to import my contacts. Thunderbird failed numerous attempts to sync contacts. I finally had to manually import my contacts. Then spent an hour manually cleaning up my contacts. Thunderbird seems to have randomly assigned field names. (Names imported as numbers or dates) In addition, it imported contacts without associated data. (No email address, phone numbers etc.) After all that, Thunderbird would not allow me to use any of the contacts. The address book is there, the contacts are there, but it would not reference the address book when I tried to send an email. I had to go to the address book, copy the email and paste it into the to: field. Next, I tried to create events and tasks. First problem, all calendars were disabled by default and no option was offered to enable the calendars. I spent another 45 min. trying to find a setting or something to enable the calendars. When I finally got them enabled, I spent another hour trying to get Thunderbird to create events and tasks. Thunderbird will not create either. I spent far more time than is rational to create each event and task. When I completed each attempt, Thunderbird trashed them. No event or task was ever created. At this point I uninstalled Thunderbird and wrote it off as a bad idea.

Folks, I am not new to this. I have been using similar apps since their early days. I know how to install and setup these apps. I am very familiar with the problems that may be encountered. And this far worse than anything I have seen in a long time. I do not know what is going on at Mozilla, but they have got some serious problems to work out. I will steer clear of Thunderbird for now.
