I downloaded some files about 3 months ago but tried to open but the option appears grey or disabled. I read somewhere in this forum that iif "Open" and "Open Containing Folder" in the right-click context menu in the Download Manager window are grayed then that means that the file is not in the original download location and they may have been removed by Anti-virus or cleanup software. That might be the reason but I have yet not found any solution. Where does that leave me? did I permanently loose these files? These are important and not retrievable since I got the from we transfer and the link expired months ago. I appreciate some real help! thanks

The file might have been deleted, so look in the Recycle Bin on your desktop. Also, look in the "quarantine" section of your anti-virus or clean-up software.

Finally search your entire computer for the file: 1. Press WindowsKey+F to open Windows Explorer. 2. Type the name of the file you are looking for.
