At least 3 times in the last 8 months I have had problems with emails that are still in my inbox. When I first read the emails that are fine. When I go back a few days or weeks later to read the email from my inbox again the contents are no longer there. It only has text in the subject line. The first few times the emails were weeks or even months old but recently it did this to emails only 3-4 days old. In the uploaded image below the tab RE:Strongid Prices is what the email was about but then the From & Subject are from a totally different email. And the contents are all gone.

Try to rebuild the index file of the troubled folder.

Right-click the folder - Properties - Repair Folder

Apparently your email files were corrupted. The most likely cause for corruption is anti-virus software messing with Thunderbird files when it shouldn't. Do you let your anti-virus software scan the Thunderbird profile folder?
