I am in a folder in outbox, SayTravel Agents which is almost at the bottom of the page and want to go to inbox at the top of the left hand side of the page. I then have to scroll to the top of the page to inbox Icon. Why is there no Inbox Icon I can place on the toolbar. I already have customised the toolbar with icons such as, Write, Delete, Get Messages, Back, Forwards etc etc. Can anyone please help.

If the Menu Bar is visible (press Alt if it isn't), you can navigate to Recent and all other folders from Go/Folder. A Go button can be added with Toolbar Buttons:

There are other add-ons that provide keyboard shortcuts for folder operations and navigation, such as Nostalgy and Quick Folder Move:

Hi sfhowes, thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Using the GO button is a way of accessing the inbox but is still using several selections. I would like a an icon / button which remains active whilst I am in a folder / sub folder in inbox / outbox. I find it difficult to understand why one was never provided when Thunderbird was originally designed.

Thanks again

Don't forget the Back and Forward keys, [ and ] respectively, for quick movement between folders.

Hi sfhowes, Thanks for the suggestion, the back button does work in some cases but noy always, it depends on where you are in the outbox.

Thanks again
