I switched over to Thunderbird a few months ago since I no longer have Gmail, and so far it's been the closest software that I have been happy with. I still prefer Gmail's overall format and function, but I'm just trying to emulate the closest thing.

I use Thunderbird on 2 different desktop computers as well as the same email account on my iPhone and iPad through the "Mail" app on those. So far, mostly great.

The one main issue that I'm having since switching over is that when I reply in a thread with my iPhone or iPad, that message from me in the thread does not show up. It's very frustrating. When I respond on my computers, my sent message appears in the thread fine.

I have a feeling this has to do with compatibility to the Mail app on apple's products, but I'm wondering if there is a way for me to have responses made on my mobile devices still appear in the thread. It is frustrating and time consuming constantly having to go to my "Sent" folder to reference my message replies on mobile devices.

Thanks Matt. Unfortunately, this was the first thing I tried before posting and it didn't resolve the issue for me. It was also frustrating because it promised that the custom settings that it would change would revert if uninstalled and that was not the case. I spent a bit of time trying to undo what it did to restore my previous thread layout.
