my Profiles are now hidden from me?!?
In previous versions I have always been able to plug the name of one of my ISPs into the Windows 7 search box and it would get me to the directories where my emails have been stashed. Vital today for adding in some emails that arrived on a wrong computer *and* the so called "import" function refused to import the file which contained those emails after I exported them from the wrong computer. Also vital regularly when I remove mbox files to an offline area and rarely need to re-add them at a later time for review or resorting or a multitude of other relevant purposes. Being unable to access my DIRECTORIES is an absolute KILLER! How do I get to my directories that "used to be" included under the Profiles directory?

Problem has been solved with some difficulty. The problem began when I inadvertently went into Tbird to get some information stored in my files there *with* a live Internet connection. Instantly downloaded five new emails into three directories. This was on an alternate computer while my primary was doing its regular weekly full system backup. Mandatory that I get those five new emails over to the primary.
The problem with Windows search no longer being able to *find* the Profiles directory with all of my mboxes was resolved because I can still get there by entering c:\users into the My Computer window where I have so often accessed the Profiles that it recalls the full path needed and I can simply click on *that* to get into the directory to load or unload files as required. Actually not much worse than entering the name of one of my ISPs for Windows search to locate and getting there that way (now that I know how to get there with the new approach).
As for the emails themselves, "eventually" I found the correct means of importing the four of them from an exported mbox and even how to import the one that I had wrongly exported as an individual message, via the "import/export tools" among the Tools selections. I may not fully understand the WHYs the program has been changed in the manner that it has, but I did manage to figure out how to solve my real world problem of maintaining my email files.
