Delete key wont work on Thunderird mail box lists Apple ExtKB in W7
Delete key on the Apple Ext Key Board in Windows 7 doesn't work in deleting emails from thunderbird mailbox lists
I have tried every key combination I can think of but I can't get the delete key to work in the message list in my inbox or other mailboxes.
It works find when editing the text of a message, but not in the message lists.
Short of throwing out the keyboard, any advice appreciated (I use the Apple extended cause I can see / feel it better than the black Windows keyboards I have lying around)

How to make your selected choice of keyboard work with Windows 7 OS is not a Thunderbird issue.
loads of info if you use google. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202676 http://www.cultofmac.com/137590/make-an-apple-keyboard-work-correctly-with-a-windows-pc-using-this-free-app/
- 1 the problem is not about using an apple keyboard in Windows 7, it's about using it IN THUNDERBIRD.
In my original question, I noted that the delete key on the Apple Extended Keyboard works in every other application I am running in W7, and it works IN THE TEXT OF A THUNDERBIRD EMAIL;
it simply doesn't work in the Thunderbird list of emails in Thunderbird Mailboxes, i.e., when trying to delete email(s) in listed the INBOX. The Menu item for Delete works, just not the Delete keystroke.
- 2 The Apple link you referred me to is about using PC keyboard overlays on the Apple keyboard in Bootcamp, and none of the key issues has to to do with the Delete key.
The 2nd link inside your reply refers to a fix only for WIRELESS APPLE KEYBOARDS and W7, not Apple Extended Keyboards (USB), and does not refer to the Delete key issue, only some function, volume and CD tray keys.
- 3 That second web page you sent me to then crashed my latest version of Firefox so hard I had to restart my PC
- 4 clicking on ANY OF THE LINKS IN YOUR EMAIL including the Mozilla links then proceeded to repeatedly crash my browser, forcing me to write this reply in email/
- 5 Logging back into FF and clicking on "Quote" (why they couldn't use "reply" is beyond me) to paste this in THEN CRASHED FIREFOX AGAIN and I had to refresh FF...
Mozilla is becoming a ROYAL PITA.
