Why is bookmark not added the first time I highlight a folder to add it to?

This has just started in the last couple weeks. When I highlight an existing bookmark folder to add a new bookmark and click "add" it jumps to a different bookmark folder in the queue. I have to scroll back to the original bookmark folder and highlight again and click "add" a second time before it is added.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
