Flash Player does not install
Dear Community, I have a problem installing the Flash Player Plugin for Firefox. I need the Plugin to view some important information on a website, but kept getting an error message to update the Plugin, which didn't work. So I uninstalled the Flash Player and downloaded the new version. But now it just won't install the new Plugin into Firefox 44.0.2. I get no error message or anything, it's just not there. I tried to download the software again and reinstall it several times to no avail. Does anyone know what to do? I would be very grateful for help.

Your System Details shows no player installed.
Flash Player Version Version: 20.0.0.306
https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Note: Windows users should download the ‘’’active_x’’’ for “Internet Explorer,”
and the ‘’’plugin’’’ for “Plugin-based browsers” (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the ’’’plugin’’’ only. Not the ’’’active_x’’’.
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
Did you try to run the Flash installer as administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator)?
Thank you for your answers! Sadly, none of it worked. I tried to install the Flash Player Active X and Plugin, once as a normal user and once as administrator (Windows 7, 64bit). My graphic drivers are also up to date. (Why would that prevent Firefox to recognize the Flash Player?) The Flash Player is installed on my computer, but Firefox doesn't want it. Any other ideas? Maybe I have some weird setting or an Add-on can block the installation? Is that possible?
Do you see the Flash player files?
You can find the Flash plugin file (NPSWF32_##_X_XXX_XXX.dll) in this folder after you have run the Flash installer:
- 64 bit Windows: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
If the files are there, but Firefox doesn't find the Shockwave Flash plugin then it is likely that the correct registry key aren't created.
- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\@adobe.com/FlashPlayer
The files are in the folder, so it was probably the registry key? I reinstalled the Firefox Browser today and it's working now. That took some time, but there was obviously something wrong with it.
