I use my ISP's webmail as my home page. With V54.0 the radio buttons on all of the webmail pages are gone. I've not been able to find anything in options that fixes the issue. Everything was working fine until the update to V54.0.

Hi, it might be an issue with an add-on; you don't have many, so you could try disabling them one by one - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions.

Or disable them all at once with Firefox Safe Mode. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
  • On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem. Thank you!

Thanks for the tip but it didn't make any difference. Still no radio buttons. FWIW I opened Internet Explorer and went to my webmail page & all was normal. All the buttons were there as usual. I hope this gets fixed soon or I'll have to do a system restore to an earlier version then reject the request to upgrade to V54.0 or start using a different browser. I hate updates. :D I'm open to further suggestions. Also I know some about how computers work but I'm NOT a tech. I'm a 70 year old man with an old Win7 machine so please don't tell me to do something I have no clue as to what you're talking about. Plain language is a plus. Thanks.

I "solved" the problem by doing a system restore to before the update to V54.0. I'm now running V53.0.3. I'll refuse all update notifications for FF for a while. Before updating FF again I'll create a restore point first just in case.

Note that you should be cautious when you do a system restore as this can lead to data loss. You never know for sure what files Windows will restore to an old version or even remove. If you want really to revert to an older Firefox version then you can download and install this version. Files with a file extension like .js (sessionstore.js and prefs.js) and .ini in the profile folder are likely affected.

Thank you for that cor-el. I bookmarked that page for future reference.
