since last patch Thunderbird will not open with Zoombrowser

I have been using Canon Zoombrowser to send pictures through email for years. Since the latest patch on Thunderbird, Zoombrowser no longer opens Thunderbird to email a picture attachment. Zoombrowser reduces the size of the picture file so it is not to large to send. Now, when in Zoombrowser after I select a picture to email Thunderbird will not open. I have discussed this with Zoombrower support and the only requirement they have is that it uses the default email. Thunderbird is set as the default.
