about:config question
Is there any way to actually delete/remove/get rid off of programmes in about:config?
I have those utterly crap pathetic unwanted unasked for forced on you utter garbage of the first order in Pockets, Reader View, WebIDE and the worst creation in the history of the internet in Screen Shots (I take it the idiot(s) that came up with that complete monstrosity, waste of time, effort, money and resources have never heard of Snipping Tool) turned off in about:config but I am wondering if there is any way to permenently delete them from Firefox?
I will not be happy until all that garbage especially Screen Shots is deleted from my browser forever.

Hi !
Would you try this :
Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)
For Screenshots, type and look for these two preferences : extensions.screenshots.system-disabled and extensions.screenshots.disabled and set both values to true
For Pocket : extensions.pocket.enabled and set its value to false
For Reader View : reader.parse-on-load.enabled and set its value to false
For WebIDE : devtools.webide.enabled and set its value to false
I hope this will make you happy again ......
@Happy112
That post was worse than useless.
If you had bothered to read my post I said I have them all turned off meaning I have been into about:config already and done all that (it is so nice going into ""customise" and not seeing those pathetic icons).
What I am asking is is there any way to DELETE/REMOVE it completely from about:config so that when I go into about:config and scoll through everything I don't see it.
Right you know how you can delete files from your hard drive is there anyway to delete things from about:config?
I don't want that garbage especially that crap badly thought out waste of everything Screen Shots anywhere near my Firefox
You can right-click preferences that you no longer need and use 'Reset' in the right-click context menu. They will be removed on the next start of Firefox.
You would have to compile your own Firefox version with those part in the code disabled if you really want to remove traces of specific features from Firefox. You can't do this via about:config. You can disable some features by toggling some prefs that deal with this feature. The screenshot feature has been a long time (2012) in Firefox as part of the developer tools. The Firefox screenshot extension that got recently added to Firefox is one of the builtin extensions that you can find in the browser\features folder in the Firefox program folder.

Already tried that from another website and it didn't work.
Firefox really has no bloody right forcing crap onto us and then making it nigh on impossible to disable them never mind delete them.
How would Mozilla like it if we went around forcing crap on to them?
Mozilla needs to realize that with out us users they would be no where and forcing crap onto us doesn't help the situation.
Like I said before I am not surprised Chrome and Microsoft Edge/Internet Explorer 11 are ahead of them since everyone is sick and tired of them forcing crap onto us.
Is it really so hard for Mozilla to do this, "Congratulations on downloading Firefox 56 we have some new features we would like you to use. If you want them you can download them here"! Is that really so hard for Mozilla to do? Instead of just forcing their crap onto us? It gives us the choice of whether we want it or not and we can disable or delete it if we are not happy with it.

Did you close and restart Firefox after you did the Reset ?
(Just want to make sure)
If you hate certain features so much : when you 'just' disable them, they won't be 'in your face' and you'll still have the chance to use them later (should you ever change your mind). There are other users, who do like these features - Mozilla did not create these just to annoy you, but to please everybody, which is pretty hard (if not impossible) to do .........
