All of my searches were landing on a corresponding wikipedia page as of this morning so I looked at preferences and discovered my settings were changed. I did not make this change and no one else has access to my settings. How did this happen? Should I be concerned? How do I secure my settings for the future? Thank you!

It's weird that anyone would change the setting to Wikipedia. No one profits from that...

Perhaps it happened by accident due to an obscure key combination in the search box. When the cursor is in the search box, a Windows user can change the default search engine by pressing Ctrl+down arrow; there may be something similar on Mac.
