Password manager works correctly when asked for ID and password. However, it also asks for the master PW when other text boxes appear, even when trying to type in a URL name or other text boxes. It also intercepts the key punches I'm typing and puts them in the master PW request box!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
