Hello all, I was wondering if there was a way to make a criteria "email has attachment" to the message filter (or can someone point me to an add-on that covers this)

I have mail filters running for my incoming bills to send them to my Xero accounting software; the emails come in, the filters run, and any invoices from suppliers are automatically forwarded to Xero for me to code with their PDF attachment. The trouble comes when one of my suppliers want to talk about an invoice - the message meets the filter criteria and is fowarded on, however the missing attribute is that it doesn't have an attachment (PDF in this case). I do the books for another company and they use Gmail, and so I know that this criteria is possible. Thoughts?

Thanks team

It's not possible to make a criterion 'has attachment' for filters, although it can be done with manual searches. One workaround might be to use a Size filter, since most messages without attachments are usually much smaller than ones with attachments. You might have to experiment to find the best cut-off, e.g. 10KB.
