How can I change Firefox so I can do the Recaptcha to get my mail at Yahoo?
Every time I go to Yahoo.com and try to sign into my mail accounts, I get the Recaptcha. It may ask me to click on all cars in the pictures. When I do that I notice the "Continue" button is superimposed on the pictures of the cars and then when I try to click on the "Continue" button, I get a circle with a diagonal slash mark through it. Yahoo won't help me with this until I pay money. This problem started when their pay for phone tech program started. Please help!

Mccoy, I went to the website you suggested(I tried this a week ago). I clicked on "speak to a live agent" and it took me here:
https://productcentral.yahoo.com/products/yahoo-account-pro-help?ncid=mbr_ryhacqnav00000002
So there's no way to chat with an agent online. I even tried calling on the phone, and that's when they said I have to pay to get help.
However, thanks to you, I was finally able to email someone at yahoo so maybe they'll be able to help me. I'll await the reply from Yahoo, and I"ll let you know what they say. Thank you. :-)

I hope you'll get an answer !
Yahoo's general customer service email address:
cc-advoc@yahoo-inc.com
(I only found that just now - sorry ..... )
Can you attach a screenshot?

Mccoy, thank you for the new link. I'll also email them at that address. I'll let you know what happens. thank you again. :-)

Hi Cor-el,
Did you see the link I added in a previous post. It shows what I'm experiencing with this. Basically, it's just the Recaptcha - a group of attached photos - with a blue "Continue" bar superimposed on the photos.

Right after I posted that email address, I sent them an email and gave them a link to this thread - but having both you and I contacting them won't hurt ...... ;)
jscher2000, I wanted to ask if you could do something for me. Yahoo wants me to try to sign into my account from another device. Would it be possible for you to go to Yahoo and try signing in under kayla220000@yahoo.com to see if the same thing happens on your computer with the Recaptcha? Please let me know. Thank you.
~ Lisette
Hi Lisette, after submitting that address I get the attached.
Did you try a new profile as a quick test? You can always use the Profile Manager to revert back to your current profile.
You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can possibly transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious and rename files you replace (add OLD to the file name like placesOLD.sqlite) and check that the problem doesn't return.
wow, Jscher2000, it must be my computer then. Oh darn. Thank you for your help with this.

Hi Cor-el, I will try that and I'll let you know what happens. Thank you.

Hi Cor-el, I tried what you recommended with the profile, but the appearance of the Recaptcha screen remains the same. Thank you.

Hi Lisette,
As everything you've tried so far seems to fail - maybe you could create an email alias, or sign up for a new Yahoo account :
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/yahoo-email-address-sln2059.html
Worth a try ......
HI McCoy, I will definitely try that, as it's true; that may be my only recourse at this point. Thank you. :-)

This has nothing to do with your ReCaptcha problem (at least I don't think it does), but the reason why they charged you for phone support, could be that you have "Yahoo Mail Pro" or "Yahoo Account Pro" instead of a regular account ….. (?)
Hi Mccoy,
Well, I've had my same Yahoo accounts for years, and I don't really think it was under the Pro, but I am sure glad you suggested setting up new accounts instead of dealing with the old ones. Although it'll be a chore notifying all the newsletter people and my other contacts about my new email addresses, it'll be worth it to be able to have access to my emails. I had two accounts and was getting the same problem with both of them, but maybe this is the solution. Thank you again, I don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place. After I set up the accounts, I'll let you know if the signin page runs smoothly. :-)

Aww, don't be so hard on yourself - setting up a new account would be the last thing on my mind too ! First I would try my best to see if there's a solution to my problem, just like you did.
Don't do it just yet : wait and see if maybe one of the other contributors here can come up with a way better idea ......
After I set up the accounts, I'll let you know if the signin page runs smoothly. :-)
If and when you decide to go ahead and do that : yes, please let us know if everything's the way it should be.
To All Those People who have tried to Help me with My Yahoo Problem:
The problem has been resolved! :-D Miraculously, I tried to sign into my Yahoo account today, and it just showed a Recaptcha with no verification code. It said "I am not a Robot." So I clicked in the box for "I am not a Robot" and clicked on all the applicable photos. I then clicked the "Verify" button, and it allowed me to log into my account.
Before, it was not working because there was a continue button through the pics, and I had to copy/paste a code into the bottom box. I wonder if other people had complained about this too. Anyway, the problem has been resolved. Since I was signed up with a non-secure mail service during the time I was not able to get into Yahoo; namely, Thunderbird, today I was able to delete the app, and get into Yahoo to change my passwords on both accounts.
A word about Mozilla Thunderbird. Do NOT ever use that mail service. It is very unsecure. The minute I signed up for that, I had a person/people who tried to sign up for pogo using my name and/or email address, and they tried to sign into other of my online paid programs, albeit unsuccessfully.
Thank you so much for your help. :-D

Thank you, Lisette, for letting us know that you finally "got back to normal" (must be a huge relief).
I commend you for your perseverance - well done !
Maybe do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
