Change email on Firefox account

My Firefox account has only one email address. I want to change it. When I access the "Change Primnary Email Address on Firefox Accounts" I'm advised I need to have a secondary email address. I don't have one. The process then says I have to add one. When I go to add an address it directs me to the Firefox Icon in upper right where I'm supposed to get a drop down menu that will do the addition. When I access the icon, I get a SYNC option and nothing else. Would someone be able to help me out please.
