I have been using DuckDuckGo for my preferred search engine. I want to change to the Brave search engine and continue using it on Firefox. I went to the addon page where I found it and tried to download it, but, for some reason, it wouldn't download. Is it possible to use the Brave search engine on Firefox?

I found it in my browser! That's why it didn't work and said I already had it. I must have successfully added it to Firefox yesterday when I tried to install it. I looked in my settings folder yesterday and couldn't find it so I thought I didn't install it, but today it's there. Go figure.

Hi joyce.greer2, If you're having problems adding the Brave search add-on, another technique is to go to https://search.brave.com/ then right-click on the address bar and select "Add Brave Search"

I did what you said and got this error message: Firefox could not install the search plugin from “https://cdn.search.brave.com/serp/v1/static/brand/31524a62fdb66f33edbf7fdcdc42ac9533b115bff4778cb9e087b3402af64958-opensearch.xml” because an engine with the same name already exists.

I have no idea what to do now. Any suggestions?
