Cannot log into hotel wifi using Firefox
I travel for work and often stay at IHG properties (Holiday Inn, etc.). I have Firefox as my default browser; version 99.0. I cannot login to their wifi using Firefox; I have to copy the address and paste it into Google Chrome and after confirming my information I am able to browse normally until the next day; It must reset at some point.
This is the web address for the network login: https://www.msftconnecttest.com/redirect
I read this article about Captive portal detection: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1314194 I change the setting per the article hoping it would take care of my concern but it did not.
Thank you!

I do realize already that the wifi has a daily login. The problem is that I cannot login using Firefox. I am sorry if I didn't clarify properly. I suspect that I will have to share a screenshot of the browser tomorrow when I am unable to login using Firefox. Login is accomplished at that point by pasting the link into Chrome.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What are the exact error messages?
The error state that the connection times out. See first link below. I copy and paste url into Chrome and it works fine. See second link.

Are you using DNS over HTTPS ?

It is possible that the connection only works via HTTP.
I also have had this problem for years. I enjoy Firefox, but I use Microsoft Edge for logging into public wifi. Firefox fails to connect. Microsoft Edge is almost instantaneous. Hotels, airline wifi, etc... Firefox will not successfully redirect to the login page quickly; sometimes never.
Best is probably to use the Android "Settings -> Wifi" screen to connect to a public Wifi hotspot and handle the login via this screen, especially if you connect for the first time to this network (reconnecting automatically to a known network works fine for me).
